TAB's/COF's/FPC's are very fragile. It is easy to damage them during the removal and cleaning process. Often times this damage will not be found until they are re-bonded. Always observe all ESD precautions when handling driver TABs/COFs.
The most efficient way to salvage good component TABs/COFs/FPCs is through the use of the Hotbar. This method minimizes the mechanical stresses applied to the device and also lowers the chance of device shrinkage.
